PROMYS: Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists

[2009 Photo]

PROMYS is a six-week summer program at Boston University designed to encourage motivated high school students to explore the creative world of mathematics in a supportive community of peers, counselors, research mathematicians, and visiting scientists.

Applications for PROMYS 2010 will be available in January

The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) and PROMYS are offering new advanced seminars for returning PROMYS students.

Scholarships

PROMYS is dedicated to the principle that no one will be unable to attend for financial reasons.

We are proud to announce that, with support from the American Mathematical Society (AMS), PROMYS will offer the following scholarships to two talented high school students in this summer's program:

The Ky and Yu-fen Fan Scholarship.

and

the Robert H. Oehmke Scholarship

In addition, PROMYS will be granting two scholarships (to one male and one female student) among American Regions Math League (ARML) participants who qualify for the program. To be eligible, you must fill out and send in the PROMYS-ARML application form by the deadline. (External links will open in new windows.)
